Photos of Péter Korniss and Mátyás Misetics at the Hungarian National Gallery

A large photography exhibition opened at the Hungarian National Gallery with the title Hungarian Photography in the New Millenium. The show on view until the end of July displays about 350 works from 21 Hungarian contemporary photographers, amongst them photos of Péter Korniss and Mátyás Misetics. The aim of the exhibition is to show how photography has changed since the turn of the millenium, what happened on the photographic scene, how the international tendencies influenced the local scene? Could photography maintain its previous estate and prestige, is it still possible to talk about photography in the same way? The curator of the exhibition is Péter Baki, director of the Hungarian Photography Museum.
