Françoise Gilot sets an artist record again after Sotheby’s London (Women) Artists auction success.
’The Evening Sales witnessed masterpieces by iconic legends Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gerhard Richter, and Sanyu exceed the HK$100 million threshold, and established artist records for visionary female artists including Yayoi Kusama and Françoise Gilot.’
Françoise Gilot’s painting titled ‘Living Forest’ from 1977 was sold for HK$9,850,000 that converts to 1,263,914.56 US Dollars.
