Várfok Gallery is delighted to announce its participation at the Art Market Budapest 2015 in the sections of ArtGalleries, ArtPhoto and sCulture.
As one of the first privately founded contemporary art galleries in Hungary, Várfok Gallery celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, presenting its programmes and participation at the Art Market Budapest this year in a fitting manner. Both of our booths, one focusing predominantly on painting and the other on photography, are going to be special: besides the recent artworks from the members of our closed artists’ circle, emblematic works of art historical importance are going to be presented. Never exhibited in Hungary before, visitors could see a special floating painting by the internationally acclaimed Françoise Gilot, an artist formerly exhibited at the Gagosian Gallery in New York. Furthermore, one of the most current artworks by István Nádler, an encaustic composition by László Mulasics, emblematic vintage photographs by Péter Korniss and pieces out of Ákos Czigány’s newest series which were only exhibited in Germany before are going to be seen. In the sCulture section, a young talent, Roland Kazi’s sculpture titled The Changed Children will be exhibited.
The Art Market Budapest will be open from Thursday to Sunday between 8 and 11 October 2015, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (on Friday until 10 p.m.) in the Millenaris Cultural Center. We are looking forward to meet you in the booths (nr. G303 and P203) of the Várfok Gallery!
