Levente Herman’s work, titled ‘Museum’ is another proof of the amazing artistic knowledge and lyrical thinking of the artist, who was born in Târgu Mureș. The painting depicts Levente Herman himself, sitting in an exhibition space in front of one of his earlier works, ‘The Rhythm of the Bark 34.’ (2018, oil and acrylic on canvas, 100x150 cm, Private Collection). Around him, colourful leaves and petals fill the space, bringing a surreal touch to the composition as it is so typical of the artist. The painting speaks for itself and expresses what so many of us desire in these times, during the pandemic: the freedom to go to exhibitions and the experience of seeing the works in person. With its lyrism and vital energy, this piece is like a deep, maskless breath with the smell of spring.
