RÁCMOLNÁR SÁNDOR

About the works
Sándor Rácmolnár’s artistic interests mainly focus on the parody of the visual clichés in his specific, ironic and at the same time critical way. Creating artworks in various graphic genres, Sándor Rácmolnár’s art can be characterized by an intense voice, based on the usage of the following elements: construction from themes and objects of popular and folk culture, graffiti, adverts, evocation of the forms of popular posters, comic-like storytelling, reinterpretation of texts and motifs taken out from their original context. He is interested in the inherently problems of the medium’s specific nature and complexity: he juxtaposes the various elements of pop culture such as the pin up girls, the comics or famous personas, and he creates unique artworks which can offer new possibilities of interpretation.
